In my opinion people like Miyuki wouldn't survive if she lives in Indonesia, because I've read in newspaper and watched TV. The Indonesian medical care is lack of technology and some of the medical workers never care of patient's life.
I read in the book, that some people treat her as equal some not. But her mother has taught her to accept any people's word and never give up even they said something bad. Her mother always says SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO...that's what her mother taught her because she doesn't want Miyuki becomes a spoil girl...

you wrong Aike! i think people like Miyuki Inoue can live in Indonesia!! why? because i am a mother from triplet. and my second baby, balqiz, her case same as like Miyuki, was premature born and my baby weight's just 920 gram. balqiz blind too because ROP (same like Miyuki). now balqiz wa grow up and very healthy. and i am sure i can make balqiz be strong and survive like Miyuki. you can visite my blog and you can see abour balqiz and her sister too.
